PA SportsTicker names Chris Mattia Executive Director, IT
PA SportsTicker, the leading real-time supplier of sports news and information, today announced the appointment of Chris Mattia as its Executive Director, IT.
In his role, he will oversee PA SportsTicker's IT and Technical Support departments and help develop strategy for expansion and new content collection.
Since April 2001, Chris served as the NBA's Director, Application Development and Data Services. In that role, Chris managed a 15-person staff that was responsible for in-arena hardware and software systems that were used to collect NBA, WNBA and NBA D-League in-game stats, internal Web development and inbound/outbound data feeds.
"I'm delighted to once again have the opportunity to work along side Chris," said Jim Morganthaler, Head of Sport US, PA SportsTicker. "He possesses a unique combination of technical expertise, over 10 years experience in real-time data delivery, an understanding of client needs and passion for the job. He was a vital contributor to SportsTicker's growth and I'm confident he will play an important role in PA SportsTicker's future. We're excited to have him on board."
Prior to the NBA, Mattia spent over six years (1993-2000) with SportsTicker as its Director, System Operations and Software Development.
"I am thrilled to be working with Jim and the team at PA SportsTicker once again," said Mattia. "It is an exciting time with the recent acquisition by PA Sport and the resources they bring to the business."
