PA Sport acquires iKnowledge

Following the announcement of the acquisition of SportsTicker by PA Sport Ltd, the company has secured another major takeover deal. PA Sport Ltd has agreed to acquire sports media technology company iKnowledge Ltd in a deal that will see the extensive PA Sport portfolio expanded to include data-driven graphical solutions for broadcasters and Internet sites.

Since its inception six years ago, iKnowledge’s automated graphics systems have become recognized as the next step forward in technologies to attract and engage TV and web audiences. The iKnowledge portfolio will have particular resonance in the United States as PA SportsTicker looks to add to its product offering across the broadcast and Internet markets.

The acquisition of iKnowledge will allow PA Sport to provide a full service of end-to-end data and graphics solutions for broadcast platforms, whether TV or PC based, and a wide range of sports-based websites. By combining research and development resources, PA Sport will be able to deliver faster and more flexible data services to broadcast and web customers.
